Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, who it reaches, and how to get it removed. In plain language, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Effective 22 August 2026

The short version. We collect what you type into the enquiry form and standard analytics about how the site is used. We do not sell data to anyone. A design firm's rate card, projects and client details inside the Interix app belong to that firm, and we never publish them, aggregate them into research, or use them to market to anyone.

1. Who we are

Interix operates interix.studio and the Interix application. In this policy "we" and "us" mean Interix, and "you" means anyone using the site or the application.

For anything you submit through this website, we are the data fiduciary (the party that decides why and how your data is used). For data a design firm puts into the application about its own clients and projects, that firm is the fiduciary and we act on its instructions. Section 5 covers that split in full, because it is the part that matters most if you are a firm evaluating us.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry

The form on our contact page asks for your name, phone number, email address, website or Instagram handle, and your message. All five fields are what you choose to type. Your message is forwarded to a Google Form and lands in a Google Sheet we read.

If that forward fails, the message is held in Cloudflare Workers KV storage until it can be recovered by hand, so that an enquiry is never silently lost. That is a genuine second copy of what you sent, and it is deleted once the message is recovered.

When you message us on WhatsApp or book a call

Every "Get Consultation" link opens WhatsApp, and discovery calls are booked through Topmate. In both cases the conversation and the booking sit with those services under their own privacy policies, and we see what you send us there. We do not import WhatsApp contacts into any list.

When you simply read the site

  • Analytics. We run Google Analytics 4 on every page. It sets cookies and records pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser, and where you arrived from. We use it to learn which pages are worth writing more of. We have not enabled advertising features or remarketing.
  • Enquiry events. When an enquiry is sent successfully we record that an enquiry happened, so we can tell how well a page works. The contents of your message are not sent to analytics.
  • Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.
  • Video. The homepage video is a YouTube embed in no-cookie mode. Nothing is set until you press play, at which point YouTube's own terms apply.

What the estimator does not collect

The estimate builder on the homepage runs entirely inside your browser. Rooms, items, tiers and totals are computed on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. Nothing you price there is stored, seen or recoverable, including by us.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and to have the conversation you started.
  • To provide, support and improve the Interix application.
  • To understand which pages of this site are useful.
  • To keep the service secure and to prevent abuse.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not send marketing email to people who only filled in an enquiry form, unless they asked us to.

4. Who else sees it

We use a small number of established providers, and each sees only what it needs to do its job:

  • Google, for Forms and Sheets (your enquiry) and Analytics (site usage).
  • Cloudflare, which serves the site and the application and stores their data.
  • Topmate, if you book a discovery call.
  • WhatsApp, if you message us there.

Some of these process data outside India. We will also disclose data where the law requires it, and we will tell you when we are permitted to.

5. A design firm's own data, inside the application

This section is for firms using Interix rather than for visitors to this website, and it is the commitment we consider most important on this page.

Each firm has its own workspace, its own login, and its own rate card, projects, letterhead and client records. That data belongs to the firm. We hold it to run the service and for no other purpose. Specifically:

  • We do not publish it. Nothing from a firm's rate card, quotations, projects or usage appears on this website or in any research, in any form, including aggregated or anonymised.
  • We do not use it to market to that firm's clients, and we never contact them.
  • We do not use it to train machine learning models.
  • A firm may choose to appear in a case study. That is a separate, written, opt-in decision with copy approval, and it is the only route by which a firm's name or numbers become public.

Documents a firm exports for its clients carry that firm's own letterhead, not ours.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: 24 months from your last contact with us, unless the conversation becomes a business relationship, in which case it is kept for as long as that relationship lasts.
  • Application data: for as long as the firm's account is open. On closure we delete or return it on request, subject to any legal retention we are required to observe.
  • Analytics: per Google Analytics retention settings.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you may:

  • ask what personal data of yours we hold and why,
  • have it corrected or completed,
  • have it erased, where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it,
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot,
  • complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

Ask through the contact page and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

8. Security

The site and the application are served over HTTPS. Each firm's workspace is separated by its own login, and application hostnames are excluded from search indexes. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise. If we discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the Data Protection Board without undue delay.

9. Children

This is a service for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.

10. Changes

When this policy changes materially we update the effective date at the top and, where the change affects you directly, tell you before it takes effect.

11. Grievance Officer

The Act requires a named human you can reach, not a form that may go nowhere. That is:

Pritesh Pawar, Grievance Officer, Interix

Reachable through the contact page.
